I have told only two persons this story. It was during the first week of chimo, when I felt totally overwhelmed. Not sleeping well, not eating well, I was left to walk the halls quietly. Occasionally I would lay on the couch and wrestle a fitful bit of sleep. It was during this semi comatose state that a voice came out of the night, clear as the church bell on a winters morning. It was the voice of my Granny McGillis, in a singular moment of clarity, there she was standing in what appeared to be a family photo. The faces seemed somewhat familiar, though faded. Uncle Jim, Uncle Bill ,granddad Bernie,Don Larson, were all there, as well as many others stretching off into the distance. It was however my granny's voice that came through with a single sentence, "Dear Andy, everything will be OK, we are all here waiting to hear of your adventures". At that I sat bolt upright wide awake, the photo vision still strong in my mind's eye, the voice still fresh in my ear. For the first time I felt a connection with that which has come before, and passed, in my time. I feel a little lighter and am going forward with chin up, I will face whatever awaits me. And when my time passes, I now know that I will be waiting for you and all your adventures. Peace love Andy

Visits from the beyond, I have been there myself. Was/Is granny a very important maternal figure in your life when she was alive? if so, then she is still a very strong maternal figure well after death, as some women in my family are.
It's not unheard of, what you have experienced, but for most, skeptics would say otherwise.
I would encourage you to keep that spiritual link open with her, she may come back and share more with you. If you've not invited her into your experience, may I suggest you do so, its a sort of protocol, I am sure she has more to offer you because you wrote about her, so vividly.
Seek her out in your meditations and prayers and I promise you she will show up again and again.
I live outside the box, as does my spiritual beliefs. They do come back to those of us who are sick or suffering. Spiritual strength from the other side is very POTENT SPIRITUAL HEALTH MEDICATION.
If you wrote about it, tells me you believe in this occurrence, so hang on to every shred of strength you can find, of this world and the next. They will not fail you when you need them.
