HI, My name is Andy Besserer and I have cancer. I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I have always lived an active life, as an Ice climber, solo rock, Alpine Mountianeer, paraglider, scuba diver, skiing both alpine and back country, as well as Telmark, monoboard and snowboard, biking both singletrack and road. Fishing, hunting , tai-chi, to name a few. I took up skateboarding at 48 years old. Now all my skills are to be dedicated to my battle with cancer. Chemo and radiation start later today.

Andy if you can survive skateboarding at 48 ...then you are most definitely a survivor.
Let's go climbing together next spring...sort of an "old farts" thing.
